A SUCCESSFUL summer season has left the finances of Kingsteignton swimming pool in a healthy state, figures show.

More than £34,000 went into its bank account in income from memberships and visitors, while private hire for events such as parties brought in a further £19,000.

Extensive fundraising by pool supporters has meant major improvement work has been carried out since the 25-metre outdoor heated pool in Meadowcroft Drive closed for the 2014 season.
