Rydon Primary School, Kingsteignton, fair on Saturday was 'a day full of sunshine and fun' according to headteacher Sally Maunder.
Although no one kept tabs, the number of people coming through the gates was more than enough to keep everyone happy, and Mrs Maunder thought it might have been a record.
Once inside visitors enjoyed everything that might be expected of an English school fete such as cream teas and a coconut shy.
Less traditional but equally popular were the opportunities to watch the girls from Popstar Parties perform and have police take fingerprints.
'It was a fantastic day and I'd like to thank not only everyone who came but the fair committee on the PTA who did such a great job of making sure everything ran so smoothly,' said Mrs Maunder.
'We're still waiting for the final count but I'm sure we've really boosted the school funds which means we can press ahead with our plans to improve the children's play facilities.
'Once again thanks to everyone who made the day such a success.'
