IN a surprise presentation the mayor of Teignmouth, Cllr David Cox, visited the Colosseum Restaurant to present Jo Davey and Stephanie Proctor with certificates from the town council.

The pair were retiring from the 1st teignmouth guides and the certificates and bouquets of flowers were to mark their service to the community.

Assistant Guider Jo had been in the Guide Movement for 25 years. In the past she was Assistant Guider for Shaldon Brownies and held a similar position in Teignmouth. She ran the 4th Teignmouth Guides for a while before it amalgamated with the 1st Teignmouth when she then became Assistant Guider.
