R J Cole, of Greenhill Road, Kingsteignton, writes:
In my opinion, Cllr John Smith has once again got his own way over the extended yellow lines in Vicarage Hill which, I will admit, has helped to ease the problem of parking.
However, another extra car length of yellow lines would have been a much greater advantage to all road users.
We now understand that Cllr Smith's latest idea would be to remove the roundabout at the junction of Vicarage Hill and Greenhill Way and turn it into a T-junction.
The roundabout at Vicarage Hill and Longford Lane was installed because it was a T- junction and caused major problems to all motorists trying to turn in to or out of Longford Lane.
A T-junction in place of the present roundabout at Vicarage Hill/Greenhill Way would without a doubt be the most ridiculous proposal put forward by the county councillor yet.
