With the school holidays round the corner, many parents may be scratching their heads as to what to do with their little ones this summer. But have no fear, Devon County Council's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is being delivered by a number of different individuals and organisations across Teignbridge and the rest of Devon.

Since 2018, the Department of Education’s (DfE) funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has provided support to children in receipt of free school meals through holiday periods. Following successful pilots between 2018 and 2020, the programme was rolled out to all upper tier local authorities in 2021 – including Devon County Council.

Devon County Council has 18,451 eligible Free School Meal children living in Devon. We have been awarded £1.91 million to fund the county's HAF programme in 2023.

The aim of the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition as well as be more engaged with school and other local services.

To access the programme, simply book a place through one of the providers listed . All clubs will be operating for a minimum of four hours, including a hot meal.

The schemes are fully inclusive and accessible, so please discuss your child’s needs with your chosen provider.
