NEARLY 20 dog-lovers from across Teignbridge are putting their pooches forward for this year’s instalment of Crufts.

The popular dog show, which attracts more than 20,000 dogs and 160,000 humans, has returned to Birmingham’s NEC this weekend.

Dogs from all across the globe will spend four days battling it out for accolades including Best in Show and Scruffts Family Crossbread Dog of the Year.

A whole host of prizes are also up for grabs in competitions including agility, flyball and obedience.

Hopefuls from Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton, Heathfield and Ipplepen have all entered this year’s competition.

Most of the entrants from Teignbridge have entered their beloved animals in the showing category.
