Sport stars, unsung heroes, volunteers, teams and coaches and schools are all finalists in Teignbridge Council’s Sports and Community Awards 2017.

The awards ceremony, which recognises the district’s top sportspeople and their achievements, will take place at the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren, on December 1.

Those honoured include athletes, teams, volunteers and coaches for their hard work and dedication to sport, health and physical activity across the district and many local communities.

There are 14 different categories, with each one showcasing individuals and teams who have made a huge difference in sport, physical activity or health within the district over the last 12 months.
