BEARNE'S Voluntary Primary in Queen Street, Newton Abbot, was the only one in the town to remain open on Wednesday as snow and freezing conditions swept across Teignbridge. After a dusting on Tuesday evening, the area awoke on Wednesday to several inches of snow making driving conditions hazardous. While main roads were mainly clear, many residents were unable to get their vehicles out of side roads.
