Teignmouth Town Council will mark the 85th anniversary of the aerial victory by Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots and crew during the Battle of Britain.

Councillors will be at the War Memorial on Teignmouth seafront from 10.15am on Sunday September 21 for a morning of music followed by a commemorative service.

‘The Battle of Britain stands as a pivotal moment in history, symbolising the courage and resilience of those who defended freedom during a time of great adversity,’ a Teignmouth Town Council spokesperson said. ‘Celebrating this battle allows us to honour the brave men and women who fought tirelessly in the skies, ensuring the preservation of democracy and peace.
