Teignmouth threw away the chance to make it three wins out of three games when they let a two-goal lead slip allowing league newcomers Bickleigh to snatch a point.
A tentative start to the game by Bickleigh allowed Teigns to dominate the early stages of the game. In the 11th minute, Andy Breslan's rasping 30-yard drive smacked the base of the post with Bickleigh's keeper stranded.
Five minutes later Mark Dyson weaved his way through but saw his shot cleared off the line. A clever pass from Terry Breslan put Dyson through again but a smart stop from the visiting keeper denied him.
With 24 minutes gone Bickleigh mounted their first attack of any note and Teigns paid the price when Kieran Rapo broke through and beat Teign's keeper Liam Jones with a well-struck shot.
From the restart Craig Stonelake almost fashioned an equaliser but his dipping drive just cleared the cross-bar.
The visiting team grew in stature and had the chance to double their lead, fortunately for Teigns Bickleigh missed the target.
Jamie Surman, Alex Blackburn and Jaime Dodge coped easily with the high balls lofted forward by the visitors and Teigns began to lose their frustration and play with more confidence, Adam Hill bursting through on goal only to see his strike saved. Nearing half-time, Dodge's quick throw sent Stonelake through and his volleyed cross was neatly tucked away by Mark Sneap to level the match.
Teigns' manager Andy Paddon's half-time team talk certainly got his team going as they came out with much more purpose and direction to their play and they took the lead in the 50th minute when Dyson's pass set up Stonelake who finished with aplomb.
Two minutes later, player manager Geoff Breslan's powerful 25-yard free-kick was too hot for Bickleigh's keeper to handle as he spilled the ball and Stonelake slammed the ball into the back of the net to put Teigns 3-1 up. Sneap rose well to head G Breslan's corner but his goal-bound header was cleared off the line.
Bickleigh pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute when Rapo reacted first to finish a corner that eluded the Teign defenders.
Teigns pushed to restore their two-goal advantage, a succinct cross-field ball from G Breslan found T Breslan in space cutting inside and shot for goal, his effort was well saved. Ashley Webber replaced Hill on the left and was soon in the action supplying a cross that picked out T Breslan who shot wide.
In the 77th minute Bickleigh equalised, substitute Jesse Howe driving home from 15 yards. Three minutes later Dyson should have restored Teigns' lead but having beaten the keeper he put his shot wide.
A bad challenge on G Breslan in the 85th minute saw Teign's player manager receive a red card for retaliation. Despite being down to ten men, the home side tried to grab the winner but with the last attack of the game they were indebted to keeper Jones who pulled off a great save diving to his left at full stretch to palm the ball around the post.
Teigns have no match this Saturday their fixture with Galmpton being postponed due to the exceptional traffic problems likely to be caused getting back into Teignmouth due to the Muse concert.
Teignmouth will next be in action on Saturday, September 12 when Ottery St Mary visit Coombe Valley, Kick off 3pm.
