ASHBURTON’S coffee lovers are in for a treat as Rowcroft Hospice opened up a new cafe in the town last week.
The shop, Love Coffee, will sell a delicious selection of cakes, tea and coffee and will be open Monday to Saturday every week.
Love Coffee, located at 17 West Street, has seating for 18 people and will also be selling tea and coffee to take away.
Every pound spent in the shop will help to support thousands of families living with life-limiting illnesses in south Devon.
Caroline Wannell, head of retail at Rowcroft, said: ‘We are very excited about the opening of our new coffee shop, which we hope will become a real hub for the local community.
‘Somewhere to catch up with friends, unwind with a book or take a break from the high street.’
The coffee shop will also stock a collection of books, bric-a-brac and ladies’ clothing.
Rowcroft previously had a shop in Ashburton, which closed in 2015, so the hospice is excited to once again have a presence in the town.
‘Rowcroft’s shops are very important. They are a way for the hospice to stay in touch with the local communities it serves,’ added Caroline.
The hospice now has 14 shops across south Devon.
Caroline said: ‘Every year we support 2,200 local people and thousands more of their family and friends, every pound spent in our shops makes a huge and vital contribution to our work.’
