PEOPLE turned out in their thousands in Teignbridge to honour the fallen of two world wars and other conflicts at Remembrance Day services on Sunday.
At Teignmouth, where an estimated 2,000 plus people attended the service at the seafront war memorial, 102-year-old Rose Patterson braved the elements to take part.
Miss Patterson, who lives in the town's Glenkeally Nursing Home, took a wreath to lay at the memorial.
Also at the Teignmouth service was George Cowles, a veteran of the SAS 2nd Regiment.
In Newton Abbot, a parade through the town to the war memorial was led by the Exeter City Pipes and Drum Band.
There was a moving service led by the town's Royal British Legion Chaplain, the Rev Bruce Porter.
In Liverton, the Remembrance Day service at the war memorial in the Halford football ground was revived after several years. It attracted around 150 people and will now be held annually.
There were services and wreath laying ceremonies across Teignbridge.
