The 50th Kingskerswell Annual Autumn Show, on Saturday, was a great success.
The village hall was packed with entries in the 150 classes, which included vegetables, flowers, floral arrangements on the theme of Our Golden Year, handicrafts, baking, preserves and photography.
Youngsters also got involved and had the chance to make pop-up greetings cards and decorated pumpkins for the event.
Said chairman John Yeo: 'We were pleased with both the number and standard of entries, particularly when you think of the growing season we have had this year.'
Ron Doidge was the big winner at the show, scooping the Len Matthews Cup and Blue Ribbon Award for Best in Show.
He also won the Kingskerswell Parish Cup for Best Vegetable exhibit in Section A members' classes 1-25, WM Hibberd Cup for Best Exhibit in Section B Members' Flower Classes 26 - 52, Henry Bowles Cup for Best Vegetable Exhibit in Section C Open Vegetable Classes 53 - 87, Ranmore Trophy for Best Tomato Exhibit, H Eckhart Cup for Best Exhibit in Section E Open Flower Classes 97 - 136, R C Hull Cup for Best Exhibit in Classes 33 to 41, The NCS Silver Medal for the Best Chrysanthemum Entry in the Show, The NCS Bronze Medal for the Second Best Chrysanthemum Entry in the Show.
He also was awarded two NCS certificates of merit.
