A RECORD 146 teams entered the annual Shaldon Boxing Day three-legged race, with hundreds of spectators lining the route through the streets to watch the fun.

The group award was won by an up to the minute topical entry – a model of the ferry workshop, pictured right, which Teignbridge Council controversially wants to sell to a mystery man, who offered £200,000 to outbid the local regatta committee.

The entry was created by Ray and Vanessa Edworthy and Jane and Keith Stoyle.
