TILES falling from a roof were a hazard for Christmas shoppers in Bovey Tracey this afternoon (Monday).

Firefighters were called to deal with the incident after a number of tiles were seen tumbling from premises in Fore Street just after 3pm.

A fire crew from Bovey Tracey dealt with the problem.
