Teignbridge teams who entered the 52nd Ten Tors trek on Dartmoor at the weekend experienced blue skies and blisters – but virtually all crossed the finishing line.
They joined more than 2,000 teenagers from across the south west as part of the gruelling walking challenge, attempting to trek 35, 45 or 55 miles.
Many youngsters with special needs completed the Jubilee challenge, which takes them up to 15 miles across the moorland.
The army run event is now in its 52nd year.
Although not a competition, the first team across the finish line just before 9am on Sunday was Torquay Boys' Grammar School who completed their 45 mile route in little over 24 hours. It included Abbotskerswell teenager Tom Simmons.
