IT is all change in the 11 Teignbridge seats on Devon County Council where

the Tories made five gains from the Liberal Democrats to follow the trend across the county.

Among those who lost out in Thursday's county council elections was deputy leader John Smith (Lib Dem) who only finished third in the poll in Kingsteignton, where Mike Walters took the honours for the Conservatives with a majority of 383 from UK Independence Party candidate Andrew Fear.

Teignbridge Council leader Alan Connett (Lib Dem) held on to the Exminster and Kenton seat after a recount.

Labour took a drubbing, finishing bottom of the poll in 10 wards and joint bottom in the other.
