Newton Abbot is one of five Devon towns that could be in line for a 'work hub' after the county council announced the name of the organisation which will investigate the potential for such a scheme.

Transform, based at Exeter University's Innovation Centre, will assess market demand for the hubs, which are a growing concept across Britain.

The centres provide support for start-up and micro-enterprise businesses in the shape of either small scale units, rented desk space, a business postal address, high-quality IT facilities, opportunities to network with other like-minded businesses and access to support from a range of agencies.
