TRAFFIC Regulation Orders (TRO) introducing a 20mph speed limit, prohibiting vehicles, amending the waiting, parking and loading restrictions along Queen Street have been approved by the Teignbridge Highways and Traffic Orders Committee of Devon County Council.

In spite of protests from members of the South Devon Alliance at the meeting, the committee voted by a majority in favour of approving the TROs.

Cllr Martin Wrigley presided over the meeting, with Cllr David Cox acting as vice chairman.

The scheme can now be recommend for construction at Cabinet of Devon County Council in July.
