THREE young men were beaten up as they walked home from a town centre take-away in Newton Abbot.

The trio - two from Bovey Tracey and one from Kingsteignton - were jumped on in Queen Street near its junction with The Avenue in the early hours of Sunday, November 25.

One of the victims, aged 19 and from Bovey, suffered serious facial injuries.

Police say as many as six men may have carried out the assault on the men, aged between 19 and 23.
