Warren finished on 61 as Raiders beat Teignton Stars 410-408 in this Division Two encounter in the Chudleigh Constitutional Club. Kevin Joint posted 65 for the Stars.
Paul Grainger came oh so close to joining Warren on the maximum trail on the penultimate end when he had a 25 double flopper for Cricketers and finished on 63.
It helped his side to a 425-389 Premier Division win over Force 8 for whom skipper Adrian Hewings had 54, on Kingsteignton Royal British Legion one.
Top score of the week went to Pete Roberts of Harvesters who notched 76 (8, 16, 16, 18, 9, 9) in their home 405-370 Premier Division win over Telecoms, for whom Alan Saunders had 54, on Forde Hall one.
Shock of the week came in Division Six where Fordealls, only three games away from a 100 per cent winning league season, went down at home to Strollers on Forde Hall two.
Strollers, for whom David Hardin top scored on 57, came from 34 behind with two legs to play, to win 381-379. Mike Osborn was Fordealls main man with 56.
In the Plate (front pin) quarter-final, Micky Bastow fired 70 (9, 17, 7, 6, 16, 15) for last season's runners-up Commuters on the portable, but it was not enough as the side were knocked out 371-355 by Bottlewashers for whom Garry Ward struck 56
