HITS Foodbank has received a boost thanks to Trusham villagers.

Residents have donated £438 each to both HITS and Cancer Research UK, which was raised from there Trusham Village Revels.

The Revels have been taking place since 1884.

Sarah Maybin, who organised the latest fundraiser, said: ‘Thank you to everyone who performed, attended or contributed in any way to what were two brilliant evenings and a special thank you to the Cridford Inn and Canonteign Falls for their generous raffle prizes.’

Chairman of HITS David Cox said: ‘Trusham is a small community with a big heart, we really appreciate the money raised for us.

‘We are indebted to the many communities big and small that support HITS.’

Trusham villager Niall Duffy will be joining the trustee board of HITS.
