DO you have what it takes to be the next chart-topping singer?

If ‘yes’ is the answer then there’s good news – The Voice UK is heading to Newton Abbot.

Talent scouts from the show will be in The Market Gate tomorrow [Tuesday April 24th], on the lookout for ‘incredible singing solo artists’.

The pub holds an open mic event every Tuesday; it is hoped that regular participants will be guaranteed a spot for this special occasion.

Due to ‘incredible demand’, organisers have already had to alter the schedule for the evening.

The original plan was for applicants to email in expressing an interest in partaking.

However, hopefuls are now asked to turn up on the night to be given with a time slot and a number.

These numbers will be issued from 7:30pm, with performances starting half an hour later.

The auditions are expected to go on until at least midnight.
