TWO illegal immigrants have been detained after raids on restaurants in Teignbridge.

A Bangladeshi man and a Chinese man are in detention while steps are taken to remove them from the UK.

The enforcement operations were part of planned nationwide action by the UK Border Agency to tackle illegal working, sham marriages, bogus colleges and organised immigration crime.

Acting on information received officers went to The Mogul's Palace, Dartbridge, Buckfastleigh, at about 5.30pm on Thursday, July 22.

One member of staff tried to flee but was caught by officers covering the exits.
