Two car collision near Forde Park

TWO cars have collided near a Newton Abbot park.

A blue Ford and a silver Volkswagen Golf collided near Forde Park at around half past two this afternoon.

The section of Forde Park Road about 100 yards before the turning onto Torquay Road is currently blocked.

As we understand it a recovery vehicle has arrived on the scene.

Ambulance crews are on hand treating persons from both vehicles.

An eyewitness on the scene said: 'I saw two ambulances rushing to the scene, they got there very quickly.'

UPDATE

Those involved in the collision are en route to hospital.
