A Buckfastleigh couple who have helped run the town's youth club for 36 years were among the guests of honour at a Queen's jubilee garden party hosted by the Lord Lieutenant of Devon.

Adrian and Pauline Distin, who married on the same day as the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977, were nominated for the event by Buckfastleigh Town Council in recognition of their status as unsung heroes.
