Christians Together in Newton Abbot and District celebrated Good Friday in the town last week with one of their biggest events - the Good Friday Walk of Witness.

Starting off at the pedestrian entrance to Asda in Highweek Street, the silent procession, lead by former town crier Ken Purchase carrying a wooden cross, wound its way through the town stopping at five different locations along the route for a reading and prayers lead by representatives from churches in Newton Abbot.

The final and sixth station was St Paul’s Church where the event concluded with a short service followed by hot cross buns.
