THE redeveloped retail park in Greenhill Way and the new Premier Inn and Beefeater Restaurant had all added impetus to the town and Teignbridge Council's aspirations for Kingsteignton, mayor Cllr Keith Howard told the annual town council meeting on Wednesday.f
He said the hard work of the successive community plan groups had resulted in the publication of the Kingsteignton Community Plan and the formation of an implementation group to drive forward the ideas and hopes of the community.
Cllr Howard promised the council would continue to do its best to promote and protect Kingsteignton's interests.
This year, Kingsteignton celebrated 1,300 years of being a recorded settlement and the third of becoming a town.
In the past 12 months Cllr Howard introduced a number of successful initiatives. One of them was a mayor's surgery in the council offices at Rydon Community Centre on Wednesday mornings to meet residents.
