The Remembrance Day Services on Sunday, November 13, include:
ABBOTSKERSWELL – Officiating at the service in the parish church at 10.55am will be the Rev Gill Still, and parish council chairman, Cllr Kevin Eales, will lay a wreath at the memorial in the church.
ASHBURTON – At 10am representatives of the RBL, ex-servicemen and women, and the town's organisations, will gather around the war memorial for a short service taken by the vicar, the Rev David Sherwood.
The laying of wreaths will follow led by the RBL branch president Tony Pugh, the mayor Cllr Donald Distin, and portreeve William Shapley.
Then follows a march through the town to St Andrew's Parish Church, headed by the Laira Youth Band.
The Remembrance Service at which Mr Sherwood officiates follows in the church, with the two minutes' silence observed at 11am.
ASHCOMBE – The service in St Nectan's Church is at 10.45am and will be led by Major Ranulf Rayner.
BICKINGTON – The Rev David Sherwood leads a short communion service in St Mary's Church at 9am, which includes a remembrance two minutes' silence.
BISHOPSTEIGNTON – At 10.30am there is wreath laying by among others the RBL, parish council and Scouts, at the war memorial. There is then a parade to St John the Baptist Church for a service to be taken by the Rev Stephen West.
BOVEY TRACEY – Representatives of the RBL and uniformed organisations will parade from the Abbey Road car park at 10am, through the town to the parish church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas, where the vicar the Rev Graham Hamilton commences the service at 10.30am.
The two minutes' silence is respected at 11am.
After the service the organisations and congregation process – the parade marshal is Lt Graham Wilding, of the Bovey Tracey Army Cadets – to the war memorial in Town Hall Square, where Cllr Robert Bray will lead the wreath laying along with members of the RBL and uniformed organisations at 11.30am.
As part of the act of remembrance, Lieut Col Mark Bailey will read a selection of names of the fallen from the war memorial.
BUCKFASTLEIGH and SCORITON – Buckfastleigh will remember the fallen at a service in St Luke's Parish Church, at 10.30am.
Councillors, RBL members, veterans, the town's retained firefighters and uniformed organisation representatives, travel to Holy Trinity Church where there is a short service and the mayor Cllr Denise Rudgley will head the laying of wreaths on behalf of the town.
They then go across to Scoriton for a service and wreath laying ceremony joined by residents.
BUCKLAND-IN-THE-MOOR – The service at 2pm in St Peter's Church, at which the Rev David Sherwood officiates, will feature two minutes' silence of remembrance.
CHAGFORD – Wreaths are to be laid by the RBL branch vice-chairman Maggie Mace, the chairman of the, parish council, retained firefighters, Scouts and Guides and representatives of other uniformed organisations at the war memorial at 10.30am.
This precedes the service in St Michael's Parish Church, at 10.50am, to be led by the Rev Noel Walter, with the sermon by Marion Barnes, a lay reader.
The exhortation will be said by Sqd Ldr Michael Fish, while the names of the fallen from Chagford will be read by Lt Col Hugh Woodes Rogers, from Gidleigh by Sheila Ford, and from Throwleigh by Simon Heyworth.
Melvyn Avery will recite the poem Why Are Poppies Red.
Following the service the RBL is organising coffee for all in Endecott House.
CHUDLEIGH – At 10.45am the vicar, the Rev Paul Wimsett will lead the service in St Martin and St Mary's Parish Church.
Following the service RBL members, ex-service representatives, councillors and uniformed organisations will march to the war memorial, guided by Lord Clifford, the parade marshal.
There at around 11.45am there is a short service and the laying of wreaths which will be led by town council chairman Cllr Nick Walters on behalf of the town.
CHUDLEIGH KNIGHTON – The service in St Paul's Parish Church at 9.15am incorporates the remembrance service.
Officiating is the Rev John Hall and during the service those attending go to the war memorial at the church gate where wreaths are laid by the vice-chairman of Hennock Parish Council, Cllr Janette Parker and Mr Hall.
A wreath is also laid at the memorial plaque inside the church and two minutes' silence is observed.
COFFINSWELL – At 9am there is a remembrance service in St Bartholomew's Parish Church, which is being taken by the Rev John Leonard.
DAWLISH – Members of the RBL, ex-servicemen and ex-service women, councillors and representatives of the numerous organisations in the town, will parade from the RBL club in Park Road, at 2.45pm to the war memorial in the grounds of St Gregory's Parish Church.
At the memorial, the mayor Cllr John Petherick and the chairman of Dawlish RBL Branch Alec Fewings will lead the wreath laying ceremony, and a two-minute silence is also to be observed.
A service follows in the church, after which the South West Lighting Band is to lead the parade on the return journey to the RBL club.
There the refurbished memorial room is to be officially opened.
EXMINSTER – The local Scouts have made small wooden crosses bearing the names of those from the parish who fell in the two world wars. They will be placing the crosses on either side of the path leading into St Martin's Parish Church.
At 10.30am there is a short service in the Victory Hall, where the roll of honour will be read and a wreath laid on behalf of the parish at the war memorial and by uniformed organisations.
A procession will follow at 10.50am to the parish church where the Rev John Williams officiates at the service, which includes two minutes' silence at 11am and further wreath laying at the memorial in the church.
HACCOMBE-WITH-COOMBE – Wreaths are to be laid at the Netherton war memorial at 2pm when the act of remembrance is taken by the Rev Antony Woodason.
HENNOCK – At the war memorial, Cllr Lesley Whittaker, the chairman of the parish council, will lay a wreath on behalf of the village, and villagers lay poppy crosses.
That is preceded by a service at 10am in St Mary's Church to be taken by lay reader Veronica Dell.
HIGHWEEK – The Rev Michael Thayer takes the service in All Saints Parish Church at 10am, which is followed by the act of remembrance at the war memorial at 11.15am.
HOLNE – At 10.50am in St Mary the Virgin Church, the Rev Corynne Cooper officiates at a remembrance service with communion.
ILSINGTON – Wreaths will be laid at the memorial at St Michael's Parish Church gate, led by Cllr Julie Smith the chairman of the parish council, prior to the service of remembrance with holy communion at 10.30am, at which the Rev Martin Fletcher officiates.
IPPLEPEN – The sound of Big Ben striking at 11am, via a radio, is the prelude to two minutes' silence at the war memorial.
A wreath is then to be laid on behalf of the village by parish council chairman, Cllr Clive Tompkins, and wreaths are also to be laid by representatives of uniformed associations and organisations, while the names of the fallen on the memorial will be read out.
The ceremony at the war memorial is preceded by a service in St Andrew's Parish Church at 10.15am, at which the vicar the Rev Ian Eglin officiates.
KENN, KENNFORD, SPLATFORD AND CLAPHAM – Wreaths are being laid in the war memorial in Kenn Churchyard at 10.55am prior to proceeding into the church for the service, which will be conducted by the Rev Mark Bate.
KINGSKERSWELL – The Rev John Leonard takes the service at 10am in St Mary's Parish Church, after which those attending will walk to the war memorial in Fore Street, where among those laying wreaths is the chairman of the parish council, Cllr Edward Whereat.
KINGSTEIGNTON – The parade of standards from the RBL and other organisations assemble outside the RBL club in Longford Lane, at 9.30am.
They move off at 9.45am going via Exeter Road, Gestridge Road, Oakford, Church Street and Sandpath to the war memorial.
There, wreaths are to be laid by RBL president Len Holland, branch chairman David Matthews, the mayor Cllr Keith Howard on behalf of the town, and representatives of uniformed and other organisations.
A service follows in St Michael's Parish Church, at 10.50am led by the Rev Sandra Gill, with two minutes' silence at 11am.
The Last Post and Reveille are to be sounded by bugler Natalie Church, from Kingsteignton.
At noon the party will march back to the RBL club via Sandpath, Greenhill Road and Crossley Moor Road.
LEUSDON – The Rev John Andrews leads a wreath service at 10.30am in St John the Baptist Church.
LIVERTON – The Remembrance Day service in Liverton was revived in 2009 after a lapse of some four years.
At 3pm the Rev Kevin Hooke will take the service at the war memorial in the Liverton United Football Ground at Halford.
There is a parade in the ground and wreaths will be laid including those by the Liverton Scouts and Ilsington Guides and Brownies.
LUSTLEIGH – There are 20 names from the first world war inscribed on the village memorial including that of Humphrey John Baillie.
He was a lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion of the Dorsetshire Regiment, who was killed in action on March 2, 1916.
Aged just 23, he was the son of the Rev William Gordon Baillie and Mary Harriet Baillie, of Sutton Mead, Moretonhampstead.
Lieut Baillie had been awarded the Military Cross, and his body is buried in Kut War Cemetery, Iraq.
Wreaths are to be laid at the memorial at 10.50am, followed by the two minutes' silence, then a service in St John the Baptist Church at 11.05am taken by former Royal Marine, Canon Ken Parry.
MANATON – At 10.55am there is a ceremony of wreath laying and two minutes' silence at the war memorial outside St Winifred's Parish Church, followed by a service in the church led by lay reader Hilda Flint.
MORETONHAMPSTEAD – At 2.45pm there is to be a short service and wreath laying at the war memorial, at which the Rev Graham Hamilton will officiate.
The wreath on behalf of the town will be laid by the parish council chairman, Cllr Ron Jones, while representatives of the RBL, and other uniformed organisations will also lay wreaths.
A parade follows to St Andrew's Parish Church where Mr Hamilton conducts the remembrance service.
NEWTON ABBOT – The parade of service and ex-service men and women, veterans, RBL members, ex-service associations, councillors and representatives of the town's organisations, will assemble in the Courtenay Street pedestrian precinct from 10am.
At 10.45am it will march off, spearheaded by the Exeter Pipe and Drum Band and featuring standard bearers from the RBL, ex-service associations and other organisations, along Queen Street to the war memorial at the top of the Avenue.
There is a two minutes' silence to be observed at 11am and the Newton Abbot RBL chaplain, the Rev Bruce Porter is leading the service.
Henry Hill, the RBL branch president, is reading the exhortation, and Francis Toulcher the Kohima Epitaph.
The wreath laying is to be led by the town mayor Cllr Colin Parker, who will also give an address.
Other wreaths are to be laid by Newton Abbot MP Anne Marie Morris, the chairman of Teignbridge Council Cllr Dennis Smith, the vice-chairman of the Newton Abbot RBL branch Eric Collar, the president of the RBL women's section Sheila Franklyn, and representatives of the many organisations taking part.
Sarah Gray, of the band Storm Brass, is sounding the Last Post and Reveille.
At the end of the service the parade will march to the Newton Abbot RBL Club, in Marsh Road, and the salute outside the offices of Woollcombe Beer Watts, in Queen Street, is to be taken by Mr Hill, Mrs Franklyn, Cllr Parker, Ms Morris and Cllr Smith.
SHALDON – At 10.45am there is an act of remembrance at the clock war memorial at The Green, at which Cllr Peter Williams, chairman of the parish council, is laying a wreath on behalf of the village.
The remembrance service itself is in St Peter's Church, at 6pm, to be taken by the rector the Rev Geoffrey Richardson, at which the Venerable John Rawlings is preaching.
Among those attending will be Teignbridge Council chairman, Cllr Dennis Smith.
STARCROSS – There is a break with tradition this year by bringing the service of remembrance forward to the morning instead of the evening.
The Rev David Burton takes the service in St Paul's Church at 10am.
The RBL standards and congregation then proceed to the war memorial where wreaths are to be laid.
STOKEINTEIGNHEAD – The remembrance service at the war memorial at 10.50am will feature musicians from around the area.
It is being led by the rector, the Rev Geoffrey Richardson, and councillors and others will lay wreaths.
TEDBURN ST MARY – The Rev Martin Wood and the Rev Ann Barker lead the United Remembrance Service in St Mary's Parish Church, at 10.55am, when there is two minutes' silence at 11am and the laying of wreaths at the memorial in the church.
TEIGNMOUTH – The Upper Den Carriageway will be a swathe of colour as standard bearers, the RBL and veterans associations, Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, Sea Cadets, Trinity School Combined Cadet Force, Scouts, Guides, and the Boys' and Girls' Brigade march from The Point car park to the war memorial at 10.35am.
Cllr David Cox, the mayor of Teignmouth, will lay the wreath on behalf of the town, one of nearly 50 wreaths that will be laid by representatives of uniformed organisations and others.
Teignbridge and town councillor, Sylvia Russell is laying a wreath on behalf of Newton Abbot MP, Anne Marie Morris.
A maroon is to sound at 11am before the two minutes' silence and sounds again at 11.02am.
The service is being taken by lay reader Arthur Brooks and the Torbay Brass Band will accompany the hymns.
More than 1,500 service sheets have been printed for the service, of which the principal organiser is the chairman of the remembrance committee Cllr Vince Fusco.
TRUSHAM – At 10.50am there is an act of remembrance and wreath laying at the village war memorial followed by a service in the parish church led by the Rev Terry Brighton.
WHITESTONE – The remembrance service in St Catherine's Parish Church begins at 9.30am and will be taken by the Rev Martin Wood.
WIDECOMBE-IN-THE-MOOR – A remembrance service, at which the Rev Geoffrey Fenton officiates, is being held in St Pancras Church, at 10.50am.
