Singer and all round entertainer Will Young wowed the crowds when he made a welcome return to the district, headlining the South Devon Festival at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday.
The former Exeter University student last played in the area when he performed a concert at Powderham Castle, Kenton, in 2004.
More than 1,500 fans flocked to the racecourse to see the singer.
During his hour-long set he belted out hits including Your Game, Leave Right Now and Changes and completed the evening with a rendition of his first hit Evergreen.
He first came on stage dressed for summer in shorts, T-shirt and braces but soon changed into an outfit that would look at home in the musical Chicago, complete with bowler hat.<
