children of Buckland and Milber Football Club have got one in the back of the net after securing a new indoor venue for their hour-long Saturday morning training sessions.

The under-sixes now meet at the new Milber Sports Centre, the project brought about late last year by the daughter and son-in-law of former Gulls boss and businessman Mike Bateson.

Housed in one of Mr Bateson's old window factories, the centre is fully equipped to provide state-of-the-art training facilities.

Club chairman Julieanne Fewings said: 'We are over the moon that this brand new facility, which is run by Debbie and Richard Hancox, has such a big heart in supporting the youngest children in our club.

'This will make a real difference to our players enabling them to enjoy their football. Thank you so much from all of us.'
