ALL icy roads in Teignbridge led to Haytor today as devotees of the white stuff dragged their sledges to the snow-capped granite outcrop, and Mid-Devon Advertiser photographer Steve Pope was there to capture the scene.

It was one of the few places to catch the expected down-drift of flakes which weather forecasters predicted.

Many parts received a Christmassy dusting overnight - but it didn’t stay long, except in lofty areas.

But even the blinding glare atop the highest reaches was expected to dim as warmer conditions move in for the weekend.
