A YOUNG woman suffered a head injury when her car flipped over on its roof in Bovey Tracey early yesterday (Sunday).

Police and paramedics attended the incident in the Newton Road just after 12.30am.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which happened outside the town’s swimming pool.

The casualty, aged 20, was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment.

A police spokesman said the woman, believed to be from Newton Abbot, was out of her silver VW Golf car by the time the emergency services arrived at the scene.

Damage was caused to a wall outside the pool.
