A WOMAN was seriously injured in an accident at Bovey Tracey yesterday afternoon (Saturday) and police have appealed for witnesses..

At around 2pm on Saturday, police were informed of a road traffic collision on Station Road, Bovey Tracey, involving a bronze coloured Jaguar XE and a female pedestrian.

A police spokesperson said: ‘The pedestrian casualty was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious leg injuries.

‘Officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team, Special Constabulary and Response Officers attended the scene, along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer.

‘A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.

‘Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.’

They are now appealing for any witnesses to this collision and, in particular, those who may have dash cam footage, to telephone 101, quoting Log 598 15/08/2020.’
