Newton Abbot's Shachar Head powered her way to world gold and silver medals at the weekend.
The powerlifter, representing England, lifted 125.5kg for the squat, 75kg bench press, and 145kg deadlift for a world record combined total 345.5kg.
They ensured that she broke her previous world and European records set for a 14/15 year old girl in the 80kg weight category.
The lifts secured her second place in the 80kg open class behind world record holder Mary Anderson, and gold in the teenage one class.
With a touch of showboating at the end of her bruising afternoon, Head, encouraged by her coach and mentor Chris Morgan, hefted a mighty 150kg deadlift to set a further teenage world record in this discipline.
Head, a student at Newton Abbot College, was among 126 of the world's strongest powerlifters at the Scotstoun Sports Arena, Glasgow, for the annual World Drug Free Powerlifting World Championships.
Head and her family thanked Morgan for the work that he has put in to get his prodigy to this most competitive level.
Head also thanked the PE faculty at Newton Abbot College for their interest and, more importantly, flexibility in allowing her to train at Steve's Gym and time to travel to Glasgow during school hours.
Coach Morgan congratulated Head on a great performance, saying: 'It's amazing what she achieved, considering this was her first world championships.
'She achieved ten out of ten clean lifts and was completely unfazed by the occasion.
'This bore testimony to the hard work and meticulous planning undertaken over the last four months as well as Shachar's mature attitude toward competition.'
Head added: 'Just by feeling those weights in your hands, you know you are capable of something special.
'I also really enjoyed supporting fellow lifters and cheering them on.
'Everyone has been so supportive. I would never have thought that I would achieve so much so quickly!'
The teenager also thanked everyone at Steve's Gym for their unswerving support and interest in her training and competition.
After a small break to concentrate on her GCSE studies, Head and Morgan will start to draw up plans for 2012, which include qualification for the British Championships in Glasgow, European Championships in Italy and World Championships in Boston, USA.
