HENNOCK Parish Council is urging Devon County Council to reconsider its proposals for the future of youth services in the county.

It believes that the county's proposed move away from open access universal facilities such as the provision of the Chudleigh Millennium Youth Centre is very short-sighted.

The parish council maintains the youth centre is just one example that faces a very uncertain future and it wants the county to direct its cost savings to another non statutory service which will not impact on young people who are tomorrow's future.
