In just a few weeks, Craft Festival Bovey Tracey returns to Mill Marsh Park, Bovey Tracey from June 6 to 8 for its 21st anniversary show.
Tickets are available now online, so you can save on the entrance gate ticket price and avoid the queues. Children also enter free with an adult ticket holder. To exhibit at this special event, makers from across the UK compete for one of the coveted 200 exhibitor places. Makers are selected for the quality and originality of their craft by an independent panel of experts.
Many local makers have been chosen to exhibit and include professional woodworker Ambrose Vevers from Ashburton who won the coveted ‘Best Maker in the Southwest’ prize last year.
“We’ve got such a rich culture of craft locally,” said Ambrose. “Visiting Craft Festival can open your mind up to the world of craft. There’s so much to see. I’d encourage all local people to come along, everyone’s welcome. I was quite overwhelmed to win the prize last year, particularly as the standard of craft is so high.”
Other local makers exhibiting include jeweller Helen Brice from near Totnes, RAMP Ceramics from Silverton and start-up business Beth Osment Textiles from Exeter.
Craft Festival combines the finest contemporary and traditional crafts for sale, plus live craft demonstrations, pre-bookable workshops for adults, and more. It’s a colourful and creative day out for all the family.
Also returning is the popular Children’s Craft Tent where families are welcome to join free craft activities all weekend.
