ABBROOK Park’s MDLP “A” team made the short journey to Newton Abbot for their second game of the season in the Premier League, which turned out to be a close affair, winning two rinks and losing two.

The overall league points weren’t as close, finishing 10 to four in favour of the hosts.

Meanwhile, Abbrook’s MDL3 “B” team were away to Bitton Park and it didn’t go to plan for them either.

In very similar circumstances, they won two rinks and lost two, the overall match ending 10-4 against them.

However, away to Torquay on June 7, “B” team captain Lionel Wheeler said they were back to winning ways taking 3 of the 4 rinks and twelve of the fourteen points available. Abbrook Men’s over 55s League Y team at home against Ipplepen were also on form winning both rinks and all 8 points.
