BOVEY Tracey tumbled to an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Plymstock, who bowled them out for 118 and knocked off the runs in a hurry, writes Conrad Sutcliffe.

Rob Cunningham took four wickets and Tom Mitch three more as Bovey were skittled out inside 30 overs.

Dan Green made 44 and 12-year-old batsman Albie Bradley hit 36 for Bovey, which did not leave a lot from the rest.

‘Albie Bradley deserves a shout out as he batted with great composure at such a young age –and no one has played our spinners as well as he did,’ said Plymstock captain Hal Kerton.

Opposite number Green agreed, adding: “Albie showed how good he really is by playing reverse sweeps for fun and making it look easy!”

Tom O’Connor (50) and man of the match Mitch (43) took Plymstock within touching distance of victory, which was completed by Kerton and James Nicholls with a couple of not-out cameos.

Green said he won’t be dwelling long on this particular result.

‘Our youngsters would have learnt a thing or two, but otherwise it is day to forget and move on from,’ said Green.
