BUDDING young golfers have the opportunity to have free professional coaching at an open weekend this Easter.
The Bovey Tracey Golf Centre is running the three-day taster session as well as offering a year’s free membership for youngsters aged between six and 16.
Two PGA professionals, Andy ‘Foxy’ Fox and David Jeffs, will be giving expert tips and guidance throughout the weekend with specialist coaching sessions.
The Easter open days and free annual junior membership is part of an extensive plan of development by the club to attract even more families to the venue.
Fox, a golf professional for 26 years, is joining the Bovey Tracey Golf Club after almost ten years at the Exminster Golf Centre where he built up the Foxy’s Junior Academy.
The centre also runs Devon Golf Academy for both juniors and adult beginners on the centre’s Par 3 Academy course.
The free open days at the nine-hole golf centre are on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, March 25, 26 and 27.
