Haldon Trail Runner Lizzy Dyson broke the women’s course record at the Otter Rail & River Run 10k in east Devon on Saturday.

The multi-terrain race started and finished in Tipton St John, with seven HTRs taking part in the event.

Matt Menary was the first from the club to finish, coming home second in a time of 37.6. Dyson was eighth overall and first woman in 39.50, taking 45 seconds off the previous best by a female.

Mark Flynn was 14th overall and third male over-45 in 42.35, with Nick Warren 22nd in 44.13, Rupert Broomby 27th in 45.52, Anthea Board 33rd overall and first female over-50 in 46.27 and Dan Grey 43rd in 47.56.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Nathan White did the Bedfont Lakes parkrun 5k and finished fourth in 19.46.
