FIVE Haldon Trail Runners competed in four races at the weekend - including one climbing four peaks in Snowdonia and another finishing first around a reservoir.
On Saturday, May 17, Ryan Davies went to Wales for the UTS 50k in Snowdonia.
The event, part of the UTMB World Series, saw runners get over four peaks - including Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon – with 3,400m of climb over 56km, starting and finishing in Llanberis.
Ryan was delighted to finish, avoiding the cut-off times along the way, and crossed the line in 13:40.34, putting him in 936th place.
The same day, nearer to home, Mimi Daniels did the Roadford Lake 10k in West Devon.
Organised by Sportiva Events, the race was part of a series that started and finished in Broadwoodwidger. Mimi finished ninth overall and first woman in 53.27.
Later that day, Chris King was in action for the second weekend in a row, this time taking on the Ivybridge 10k.
After placing in his age category at the Copper Trail on May 10, he repeated the feat by finishing third male over-55 in a time of 44.51, putting him 102nd overall.
On Sunday, May 18, Cat Matthews and Holly Manigan did the Beer Blazer 10-mile race in East Devon.
Run over some of the terrain used in the famous Grizzly race, both ended up helping each other get to the finish line, with Cat finishing 121st in 1:58.28 and Holly 123rd in 1:59.21.
