BUDDING netball players from Newton Abbot College took a trip of a lifetime to meet England’s national team.

The Year 8 and 9 students travelled to Loughborough University earlier this month to watch a warm-up session and match.

The youngsters – who were each given a signed netball – were able to pick up some top tips from the team as they watched them in action.

Student Millie Kingman said: ‘It was inspiring to watch netball at such a high level and to see some of what it takes to become a top player.

‘It was really interesting speaking to the goal shooter to get some top tips on how to consistently score goals.

‘We are hoping to take everything we have seen and apply it to our game to hopefully make us better players.’
