With player-manager Geoff Breslan looking to put the emphasis on playing next season, Gary Zink has returned to Teignmouth AFC to jointly manage the first team.
Zink masterminded Teignmouth's promotion to the Devon League in the 2003/4 season, when the club won the South Devon League Premier Division.
The following season, under Zink's leadership, Teignmouth won the Devon County League.
He left the club at the start of the 2006/07 season.
In 2007, the Devon League merged with the South Western League to form the South West Peninsula League, and the fortunes of the first team floundered until Breslan took the reins three seasons ago as a player-manager, seeing his side compete well in the East Division.
Breslan, who played under Zink in the South Devon League and Devon League, approached his former manager to become a key figure in the running of Teignmouth's first team.
Martin Jones, who was Zink's assistant manager during the club's SDL and Devon League triumphs, will reprise his role, and former player Leon Saint will be helping out with of the club's training programme.
'Gary is a great organiser and will bring a winning mentality to the club, while generating a great team spirit,' said Breslan.
'The ambition is to see us challenging for promotion to the Premier Division.'
