TAE KWON-DO

PETER O'Neill's TAGB tae kwon-do students of his Dawlish and Teignmouth schools deserve some congratulations with yet another 100 per cent pass rate at their gradings last month.

The standard of the students keeps improving, with the following students excelling themselves by achieving A passes. Dawlish: Lorraine Mitchell, Polly Brown, Jane Hartley; Teignmouth: Tom Colley, Jake Ward, Sophie Hartley, Emma Cunningham, with special mention to Polly Brown and Jake Ward, who both received grading awards for being the top students in their respective clubs,

Other achievements include black belts for Adam Wilkins, Daniel Ferris and Ian Hartley, with a second degree black belt for Steve Turner.

Competition successes for the clubs include the Welsh National Championships and the English National Championships with the following results; Welsh: sparring, Wendy McColl (gold), Tom Bolt (silver), Adam Thorne (silver), Emma Maidens (bronze). Patterns, Wendy McColl (silver) and Natalie McColl (bronze). English: sparring Tom Bolt (silver).
