A DEVELOPMENT of up to 80 homes on the edge of Kingsteignton could get the go-ahead next week.

Codex Land Promotion wants to build the properties on land east of Penns Mount.

On Tuesday, members of Teignbridge Council's planning committee will be recommended to approve the scheme as the site has been allocated for housing within the 20-year Plan Teignbridge.

Officers will urge members to grant outline permission assuming Codex agrees to a number of conditions including a 20 per cent affordable rate, five per cent self-build plots and £300 per dwelling for 'green' transport subsidies.
