TWO local charities have greatly benefitted this year thanks to Kingsteignton Knit and Natter Circle.

The group made its annual charity presentations this December - Exeter’s neonatal unit and RNLI Exmouth being this year’s recipients.

First, on Wednesday, December 10, members of the Circle brought more than 500 hand-crafted blankets, hats and cardigans to Exeter’s neonatal unit, as well as some cross-stitch pictures.

And during the festive feast at the Ten Tors Inn on Tuesday, December 16, the group presented RNLI Exmouth representatives with a cheque for £1,700 and three bundles of presents.

The group have been knitting hats for the station’s crew as part of its ‘Exmouth RNLI Coastal Hat Project’

The Kingsteignton ladies’ hats have since been delivered to other lifeboat stations.
