A MAN was taken to hospital after a road accident on a pedestrian crossing in Teignmouth this afternoon.

All three emergency services attended the incident just after 3pm involving a pedestrian in Lower Brook Street near the Waitrose supermarket.

The Devon Air Ambulance was also called the scene, landing on The Den.

The casualty, said to be conscious and breathing at the location, was taken by land ambulance to hospital.
