TWENTY firefighters answered a 999 shout in Newton Abbot after three cars were involved in a collision in Besigheim Way this afternoon (Thursday, March 9).

Two pumps from Newton together with one from Torquay and the emergency tender from Exeter responded to the 1pm incident.

There were fears people were trapped - but everyone was safely out of their vehicles when the emergency services arrived.
