A MOTORIST has died nine days after being badly hurt in a road smash at Bishopsteignton.

Oliver Galvin, 39 and from the Birmingham area, suffered serious head injuries when his Suzuki car crashed into a wall and flipped over on to its roof.

The single-vehicle accident happened just before 1am on the Teignmouth to Newton Abbot road between Cockhaven Road and Forder Lane on April 19.

Mr Galvin died at Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital last Thursday.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the A381 accident to come forward. They would also like to speak to anyone who saw the silver car shortly before the collision.

They should ring 101 and quote log 34 of April 19.
